More on the Welsh Language LCO

Nothing can better illustrate the problems that the One Wales Government has been having with their bid to draw down powers to legislate on the Welsh Language than the statement currently being delivered in the chamber.

All of the Conservative, Plaid Cymru and Welsh Liberal Democrat Assembly Members not elsewhere on other business are in the chamber, however for most of the statement the Labour Party have been represented by three backbenchers, the Deputy Presiding Officer, the Chief Whip and a Deputy Minister. Not a single Labour Cabinet Minister saw fit to stay for the presentation.
